Finding something you love doing that also helps other people is one of the keys to happiness. Dr. Ken Collins’ dreams of being a dentist started young, as he watched his role model and father become a well-respected and well-loved member of the dental community by both his patients and his team. From that moment he knew he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives in a unique way just as his father did.
He not only graduated from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) but was asked to be a clinical instructor in 2001 where he became the youngest in the school’s history.
Dr. Collins has a deep love for cosmetic dentistry and has won numerous awards in this area. He even donated his time to work on the Spokane Makeover Team from 2004-2007 where he improved the lives of local people in the community. He knows almost all his patients personally and makes new patients feel right at home from the second they walk in the door. Following his father’s lead, he has a close relationship with his team, and they have all worked together for 20 years.
He loves that his talents have allowed him to spend every single day helping people. “Giving people something they didn’t have before, like a new smile, is rewarding and exciting and is more than just what is appears on the surface. They walk out of my office with a new confidence and that feels really good”, he says.
His wife, Dr. Marnie Collins works alongside him focusing on orthodontics and family dentistry. Together they make a perfect team. They compete together in Ironman races and have four young children who they love watching stay healthy and competitive in multiple athletic endeavors.
