You can actually clean multiple types of shoes with toothpaste. Leather shoes with scuff marks can usually be fixed with a little toothpaste and when the white rubber at the base of sneakers starts looking rough, toothpaste can freshen them right up.
In the same way that toothpaste works to deodorize your mouth, it can also be used to remove weird smells from other stuff. If you’ve handled something smelly lately, use toothpaste to wash your hands. You can also use it to remove the sour-milk smell in baby bottles. Just be sure to clean them thoroughly afterward.
Clean Stuff Around the House
It’s actually surprising how many uses toothpaste has when it comes to cleaning. The bathroom is a great place to start. You can scrub your sink with some and then rinse it out for a fresh, odor-killing cleanup. Then, you can polish the chrome handles of the faucet and drain with it as well.
Toothpaste is great for dehydrating pimples and absorbing oil. Just place a bit on the area before bed and by morning it’s usually dried up. Just make sure the toothpaste isn’t a whitening variety and avoid this method if you have sensitive skin.
Both goggles and mirrors can be coated and cleaned with toothpaste in order to keep them from fogging.
Not only can toothpaste get crayon marks and other pigments from walls with a good scrubbing, it can also remove stains from fabric. Primarily ink and lipstick. It doesn’t work every time but it’s worth a try before you toss the shirt in question. You can also use it remove water stains left by sweating drinks on wood furniture.
